
The Academy is led by Pradeep Kumar as President, with help from a network of associates who are experts in TOC, other knowledge disciplines and in enabling activities. These associates are :
Pradeep Kumar
Pradeep is an accomplished TOC practitioner who been teaching the subject since 1996. His coaching has delivered outstanding success in the areas of operations, distribution, project management, customer satisfaction and sales. He has also helped individuals in addressing personal conflicts using TOC tools.
He has a vast experience of 34 years in multinational corporations of high repute. He is currently living in Shanghai (China) Pradeep served as Chief Operating Officer of Singapore listed Thakral Corp Ltd for 4 years in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Prior to that he worked with Procter & Gamble for 12 years. He lived in Japan for 9 years as Associate Director and before that he worked as General Manager (Manufacturing) of P&G (India) responsible for product supply function.
Pradeep started his career in India with Union Carbide and worked with them for 15 years. He left Union Carbide as Operations manager of Polyethylene manufacturing in 1987. Then he worked with Birla Group in India as Vice President (Manufacturing) for 3 years.
Pradeep is a Mechanincal Engineer (Double Gold medalist) from BHU India and completed his post graduation studies in general management from University of Bombay in 1983. He obtained Jonah Certification from Avraham Goldratt Institute (New Haven Connecticut, USA) in 1998.
Pradeep enjoys playing golf and travelling. His favorite reading subjects are philosophy and history.

Rita Kumar
Rita is the Managing Trustee of TOC Academy and leads its division ‘TOC for Education’. She has been actively associated with school education for over 18 years. Rita served as Trustee on the Board of Canadian Academy, International School, Kobe, Japan from August 1998 to June 2002. There she helped set school policies regarding administration, finance and admissions and was in-charge of evaluating the Headmaster.
She also served as Chairperson of Educational Policy Committee of Canadian Academy from August 2000 to June 2002. This was a very challenging position of managing administrators and teachers especially while conducting a community wide survey to evaluate the entire school. Rita also helped in setting, evaluating, and recommending curricular and admissions policies.
Earlier, she served as President and Vice President of the Parents and Teachers’ Association of Canadian Academy from August 1996 to June 1998. She chaired board meetings, organized various school and community wide programs, and hosted other events. She promoted greater interaction between parents and school and played a key role in the search for a new Headmaster.
Rita worked as associate librarian at Canadian Academy, Japan from Aug 95 to Aug 97. There she helped in Cataloguing materials, managed the library circulation counter and helped students with research projects. She was a substitute teacher at Canadian Academy, Kobe - Japan, for 6 years from Kindergarten to 12th grade for various subjects including English, Social Studies, History and Geography. She also trained preprimary students in English at schools in Hong Kong for 3 years between 2003 to 2005.
Rita served as PTA chairperson for 3 years from 1987 to 1990 and was on the board of trustees of Tarapur Vidya Mandir, a high school in India. She led the curriculum change at school that enabled students to acquire learning matching with all India curriculum standards.
Rita has had entrepreneur experience in business of selling Japanese cultured pearls, Chinese (fresh water), South Sea and Tahitian pearls. She managed procurement, inventory, accounts and all other business aspects including marketing and business development.
Rita has been as active socialite and served as President and Vice President of Kobe Women’s Club, Japan between June 2000 and July 2002. She presided over board meetings, organized cultural shows, fairs and exhibitions for the local and expatriate community. Rita also organized SOS (Spouse for Support) groups, and spiritual reading groups when she was living in Japan from Sept 93 to Aug 2002.
Rita served as secretary of Inner Wheel Club, Bombay North Island, India from June 1992 to August 1993. She coordinated medical teams and women’s groups to organize camps for rural, poor women that focused on eye care and testing for breast and cervical cancer. She also planned and arranged for regular adult education lessons.
Rita is an Honors Graduate from LSR college and Rank Holder of Delhi University (India) in History and Political Science. She is also a double graduate in fine arts (vocal and instrumental music). She is a native speaker of English and Hindi. She passed Intermediate Japanese and can converse in Mandarin. She enjoys craft making and has exceptional culinary skills. She is a voracious reader and enjoys meeting new people and making friends.

Dinesh Agarwal
Dinesh is a practicing Chartered accountant since 1987. He specializes in Company law and Income tax. He has handled numerous assignments covering audits across all states in India. He represented Ministry of Defense before Income tax appellate tribunal.
He led a project in Shillong (India) on behalf of International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) , a body of United Nations, to examine the financial irregularities, system of financial checks , review of internal controls, and to make recommendations for modification from the viewpoint of financial discipline.
Dinesh also leads a team of business consultants at Arete Consultants Pvt Ltd. (www.aretecon.com). This company has operations in India, Australia, USA and China. He has wide experience of providing consultation to multinational corporations. This includes, software development, business strategy development, business intelligence acquisition, Accounts and Finance, Government relations, Tax, Legal processes in India, and so on. He represents multinational clients to Reserve Bank of India and to other Govt bodies.
Dinesh is socially active in community service via a local help group for creation and maintenance of community infrastructure like maintenance of roads, light, and other municipal infrastructure. He contributed in the formulation of plans & strategies for the schools like G.D.Goenka Public School. He has been providing free training & coaching in financial management and accounts to disadvantaged students of local community and has been supporting physically challenged students.

Ravi Gilani
Ravinder Gilani (Ravi) is the founder and the managing consultant of Goldratt India (www.goldrattindia.com). As the managing consultant of Goldratt India Ravi introduced TOC in India, and now focuses his efforts on increasing the wealth of his clients through a systematic application of Dr. Eli Goldratt's Theory of Constraints. He is the first practicing 'Jonah'(TOC Expert) in India. Dr. Goldratt has personally trained Ravi in Supply Chain Management. Ravi also serves on the board of Theory Of Constraints International Certification Organization (TOCICO).
For over 34 years, Ravi's industrial experience has evolved from a core in Manufacturing Engineering through to Total Quality Management and Business Process Re-engineering to the Theory of Constraints (TOC). Prior to founding Goldratt India, Ravi was Chief Consultant at ECS Limited (Formerly Eicher Consultancy Services Limited). During his consulting career of over 14 years, Ravi has consulted for and with many Indian and transnational organizations, such as L&T and Godrej & Boyce in engineering, Salora International in consumer electronics, RPG Cables in telecommunications, ABB and Alstom in power equipment, Indian Aluminum-a subsidiary of ALCAN in metals, Dalmia Cement & OCL India in cement, ICI in chemicals, Exide and Eicher in automobile components etc. Before starting his consulting career, Ravi gained valuable 'Hands-on' experience for 21 years in operations in the automobile industry (TELCO and Eicher). Jeff Hasenfratz

Chen Wei-Ming
Mr Chen is the founder Managing Director and Chief Consultant of ‘Transposal Business Consulting’ in Shanghai, China. Prior to that Mr Chen worked in various multinational corporations in Marketing and General Management positions. He started his career in Xerox Shanghai in 1988 and rose to the position of channel marketing head of Xerox China.
During his career of 8 years with Xerox China, Mr Chen was responsible for new market development, establishing marketing channels, growing market share and balancing Demand and Supply. He also participated in new product development.
Then he worked at senior level in Motorola and Kodak in sales and marketing functions. There he was responsible for many important operations and project based activities. At Transposal Business Consulting Mr Chen has led more than 20 large consulting and market research projects during past 8 years. Khaw Choon Ean
Mrs. Khaw Choon Ean is an honours graduate of Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang majoring in Humanities with Education (1974-77) and has also attended a graduate programme (M.Ed) in Curriculum Development in Universiti Malaya (1993-1994).
Her educational background includes 12 years as a teacher in secondary schools (1977-1988) and 14 years in the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Ministry of Education, Malaysia (1989-2003), working initially in the Physical Education and Health Education Unit (1989-1992) and in later years, heading the Educational Technology Unit (1995-1997) as well as in her last appointment, she was made Head of Special Projects, CDC (1997-2003).
In her work as a curriculum planner and project manager (1989-2003) she has been involved in educational work and has amassed immense experience in fields involving movement education (1989-1992), thinking skills/TOC (1996-99; 2000-2003), Multiple Intelligences (1990; 2001-2003), smart schools (1995-1998), transition programmes (2000-2003), preschool curriculum (1997-1999), futures studies (1996-2000), indigenous people’s education (1997-2003), differentiated instruction (2002-2003) and changing trends and innovation in teaching and learning (1997-2003), sometimes working with other divisions of the Ministry of Education and universities, as well as agencies such as the British Council, UNICEF, World Futures Studies Federation and TOCFE, Inc.
Futures Studies (Consolation Prize, 1998), Thinking Skills (2nd place, 2001) and Transition Programme with TOC(1st place, 2000) are several projects under Mrs.Khaw that have won the Annual Innovation Award by the Curriculum Development Centre, Ministry of Education.
Mrs.Khaw was trained as a trainer of trainers at College St.Marks and St.John in Plymouth, England, under World Bank in 1996. In 2000, she underwent training as a TOCFE facilitator by TOCFE, Inc. at a course in Monterrey, Mexico. In the last few years since 2000, she has introduced the development of the use of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) for Education in all Year One classrooms in the Transition Programme in Malaysia as well as in teaching and learning of Social Science subjects in primary and secondary schools.
She has attended all annual international upgrade conferences for TOCFE in Mexico, United States of America and United Kingdom as a speaker or facilitator since 2000. Since her retirement from the Ministry of Education in June 2003, Mrs.Khaw is taking an active interest in the development of TOCFE in Malaysia and Asia as a speaker, resource person and course facilitator and as the honorary TOCFE Director for Asia. She has given TOCFE Workshops in Thailand, Singapore, Korea and Mexico. She was a writer for the educational supplements in New Straits Times for TOC in schools from January to May 2004. She has also worked as International Signature Programme Project Coordinator for Volunteerism for World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides (London) from May 2004 to May 2005.
Mrs.Khaw has won many personal awards in the course of her educational and sports career among which are being the recipient of the inaugural Tunku Ismail Jewa Gold Medal for top academic excellence in Universiti Sains Malaysia (1974-77); Outstanding Service to Sports by the Selangor State Education Department (1988), MILO South East Asian Award (1994) by Mayor of Phillipines for contribution to Sports in S.E.Asia, PJK title award by the Sultan of Selangor (1995), Outstanding Service Award by the Ministry of Education (2001)and the inaugural recipient of the Malaysian Olympian Women and Sports Award in 2003 and the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Woman Of Achievement Diploma Award in 2004. She has also served as a Technical Delegate and on the Jury Panel at several international sports events with the National Rhythmic Gymnastics team including SEA Games (1989, 1992, 1995, 1998), Asian Games (1994), Commonwealth Games (1998), Four Continents Championships (1982, 1993, 1996) and World Championships (1996, 1998). She has also illustrated comic strips (1975-1980) in Saturday Weekly, Straits Echo, Junior Malay Mail, Utusan Konsumer, Berita Shell, MAS Wings of Gold (1989) and is also a published short-story writer in creative writing (pen-name Cean) and Thinking Smart (Pelanduk 2005, Dongyang Books 2006 Korean version). She has won several national and international literary awards in this field (1969-1985). In July 2006 she won an award in the Utusan National Literary Awards for the category of Young Adults Novel with her work Nine Lives which will be published end of 2006.

Dr. Shoshi Reiter
Shoshi is an Education Professional. She lives in Tel-Aviv, Israel and is dedicating her efforts in the field of human development. She runs an organization named ‘TOC for Human Development’ that is training students in self regulation and leadership. She also coaches individuals and Institutions in use of Theory Of Constraints.
Shoshi is a PhD from Haifa University in self regulation learning. Her thesis at MA in ‘Science teaching’ was “Characteristics of students’ behavior in virtual course’. Prior to that she did her B.Ed in Chemistry and Biology from Beit-Berl college in 1996. She graduated in Practical Engineering, Chemistry from Israel Institute of Technology in 1973.
Shoshi has been learning and applying TOC since 2001. She developed and conducted “Multiple intelligence” project for 3 years by applying TOC tools and also managed project on science teaching with TOC tools. She has been a Primary school principal and Science teacher for middle and primary schools. She served as organizational consultant for teachers and as student board facilitator for developing young leadership.
Shoshi has presented papers on TOC at many conferences. Amongst these are
"Will & Skills" with TOC tools - Improving Motivation and Learning strategy at TOCFE world conference held at Miami, USA in May, 2003;

Lu Fei Bao
Born in China, Ms Lufei Bao moved to US in 1987 and lived in Boston for 12 years. She has been back to China as a veteran returnee since 1999. She earned MBA degree at Simmons College in Boston. Currently she is COO and partner consultant at eRay Consulting Shanghai.
Lufei has devoted her work to strategy management and supply chain management consulting in China. She is specialized in Balanced Scorecard (BSC) strategy management system. During 2002 to mid 2006, She was COO and partner consulting at eGate Consulting, a China affiliate of Boston-based Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, founded by the management masters Dr Robert Kaplan and Daivd Norton. She has led most significant BSC projects in China and has served many clients in various industries. Her high quality work is recognized and appreciated, and has won her a high reputation and a group of loyal customers. Dr. Richa Kumar
Richa is spearheading the “Education for Everyone” program of TOC Academy. She is Assistant Professor of Sociology and Development Policy at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. In 2010, she received a New India Fellowship for completing her book manuscript on the political economy of agriculture in central India. She finished her Ph.D. in 2009 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA) in History, Anthropology, Science, Technology and Society (HASTS). Her research focus was on agriculture, technology and rural development. She completed her Bachelors degree in Science, Technology and International Affairs from Georgetown University, Washington DC, in 2001.
Richa worked with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (Chennai) setting up internet centres in villages in Tamil Nadu where she developed localised content partnerships and information linkages in 2001-2002. She has received several research fellowships to conduct fieldwork in India including support from the Wenner Gren Anthropological Association, American Institute of Indian Studies, Industrial Performance Center at MIT, and the Ministry of Information Technology (Government of India). Richa completed her High School from Canadian Academy, Kobe, Japan and spent one year studying Economics at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

Dr. Russ Pirasteh
Dr. Russ Pirasteh is Global Director of Operations Excellence for Sanmina-SCI Corporation - LRS Division. In his current capacity he is responsibilities for CPI, engineering, supply chain management and quality. He has held executive, staff and line positions with 25 years of solid experience in implementation of continuous improvement systems in manufacturing and transactional environments. He has earned Ph.D. in Engineering, MBA in Industrial Management, BS in Industrial Engineering, Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Certified Lean Master.
He has formulated TLS CPI methodology to fill the gaps among CPI methodologies he has experienced. Russ has published numerous publications and provided lectures for Weber University, UTA, APICS, TOC-ICO, and IE organizations. He is a member of APICS, IE, and ASQ.
