“Education for Everyone” (EFE) is a part of TOC Academy. EFE initiatives are directed towards providing holistic education to children, targeting the lower forty percent, who have a tendency to drop out of middle school (6th to 8th).
Using three focused programs on life skills, learning skills, and career skills, based on systematic learning tools provided by the 'Theory of Constraints' (TOC), EFE initiatives are aimed at giving a second chance at learning to those students who are not able to cope up with the methods of mainstream education.
The life skills program uses TOC tools to provide skills to students in the areas of conflict management, positive communication, team building, delegation, planning, and problem solving.
The learning skills program has two components. First is identifying and creating multimedia based course material that teaches children holistically, rather than in the piecemeal manner of the current system. Second is using the tools of TOC to explain concepts more easily and to make the learning process interactive for students.
The career skills program uses TOC tools to help students identify their strengths and interests in relation to their goals. It also equips students with the requisite skills to identify and pursue relevant career opportunities. |
